Popularity Contest
I have said it before, the photo industry is a popularity contest. In fact, some aspects of life is as well.
Dan Hallman shooting Kelly Ripa for The Hollywood Reporter’s New York Power List issue.
For the 50th anniversary of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Luise Stauss, photo editor at The New York Times Magazine, assigned photographer Mark Peterson to shoot stills and video of the band performing at the historic Preservation Hall in New Orleans. Peterson, who is based in New York City, explains, “I’d done another story on a marching band in Texas for them, so I guess they’re typecasting me for anything that has a tuba in it.”
Kari Modén created a wonderful anatomical design for Swedish pharmacy chain Vårdapoteket - used for everything from shopping bag to store interiors. See more at Snyder & the Swedes website and Laughingsquid.com.
Illustrations by Kari Modén helped to launch Tide Pods. Kari worked with Saatchi and Saatchi in New York. Now appearing on Times Square and in stores all over the country.
